Join movement and energy guides Jen Merrell and Michelle Frye for an evening of deep relaxation and meditative stretch with a sacred sound bath, yin yoga, and opportunity to dream of your future while anchoring in the present moment.

'Yin' or passive energy is perfect for restful movement and envisioning. Here you will learn how to work with this gentle yet powerful deep stretch practice to unravel tension, release fascia tightness for increased flexibility, and bring your body into relaxation.

Why a sound bath with quartz crystal bowls and yin yoga combined?

As humans our DNA, bones, blood, and fascia all embody a crystalline structure that is responsive to sound vibrations created by crystal bowls. When played, these bowls create a resonance and reverberation that is felt within the body that can repair tissue and ease pain.

Each of the bowls used in this class are perfectly tuned to harmonize with your energy centers and help bring you into alignment on a physical and emotional level. Yin yoga is a gentle, passive practice that focuses on your energy meridians and fascial tissue where emotions and trauma can store.

Every energy meridian within your body governs organs, tissues, glandular systems. When a specific energy center is out of alignment, physical or emotional disease or distress may follow. Providing yourself space in a dedicated safe, inclusive environment to unwind and de-excite your sympathetic nervous system (stress response), fascia, and tissue will allow your body and mind to return to its natural restful, healing state.

This deeply relaxing experience can be enjoyed seated or lying down. The room is warmed and mats, props, bolsters, and blankets are provided to create the utmost level of comfort provided for your support. Once settled, Jen will gently walk you into a state of calm with guided words and healing quartz crystal singing bowl vibrations that allow you to drift into bliss.

Bring a water bottle and any additional supportive props you like. We delight in wearing cozy socks and eye masks. Noise reducing earplugs help soothe sensitive ears.

Sound immersion can eliminate stress, alleviate symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, and stress-related disease, but how does this work?

Everything is vibrational, and we have the ability to heal the body, mind, and emotions by changing the frequency of these vibrations. Think about it. All matter is comprised of energy and if we zoom in to a molecular level we can see that every atom vibrates at a specific frequency.  The frequency of an emotion, a virus, or a healthy cell each have a specific energetic signature.  A 'healthy' frequency will resonate in harmony, will feel good, and feeds our energy. An 'unhealthy' frequency will feel a little off, not good, and will drain our energy.

Sound is an incredible medium to work with because the vibrations can be felt throughout the body. Similar frequencies resonate together and the same goes for our bodies. We can literally re-tune our internal instrument for higher health using sound because everything resonates.
